Hudson Youth Football is a non-profit organization formed in 1980 with the purpose of providing an organized, competitive program for children in grades 3 through 6. Our program is designed to afford the youth of Hudson an opportunity to play football in a strictly controlled environment with emphasis on safety, technique, teamwork and sportsmanship. As a competitive program, with membership in the Ohio Gridiron Youth Football Association (OGYFA), we play against many neighboring communities.Cheerleader and player siblings will be placed on the same team. All players will be drafted according to age, experience and ability. In season, all games are played on weekends with an 8 game schedule. For the total experience, some games are scheduled under the lights in the evening. In addition, there are playoffs where winners have an opportunity to advance to a championship game. The Hudson Hawks have an excellent winning tradition, with many players going on to play varsity football.
The goal of the Hudson Hawks Youth Football and Cheerleading program is to provide all children quality instruction in the principles of good sportsmanship, teamwork and cooperation.
Our job, as parents and coaches, is to facilitate a fun learning experience and to lead by example.
A safe, enjoyable, and rewarding experience for your child is our number one goal.
